Hollows form between the dhaap when four shari get stacked. Lowest dhaap is the thinnest shari, worn right through at the border. One pass of the phor goes through every dhaap. 👀 First dhaap. Bottom layer, softest of the four, and it touches the floor. Nobody sees that one except me, and now you. Second dhaap. Here sits the daag of turmeric that no washing ever took out. Phor crosses that daag twice and the shari puckers around it. 🧵 Third dhaap. My knee rests here while the pangti goes in. Kuchan on this layer is the deepest of the four. 🔥 Top dhaap. Smooth face up, puckered face down, and the jorai hidden along one edge. That jorai is the only part I had to make twice. Two people sit on them, and then they slide — bottom one last. Phor holds them together while the kuchan comes up between us. ✨ My hand goes first. Flat under the top dhaap, where it finds your hand already there. 💋 Jorai gives a little and the shari underneath goes warm. After that my mouth stays on your neck while the dhaap shift under us. Kuchan prints my shoulder and the phor pulls tighter with every move I make. Something gets damp, at the very least two layers and the floor under them. 😈 Nothing in this stack stays flat, darling. Tomorrow they go flat again, four high, and the phor carries on from the border. 🌙 Ye dhaap kisi bhi farsh pe khul jaate hain, mere ya tumhare.
