Why make a plan when the pads are soaked and the room has already gone cold? 🌿 Nothing arranged, nothing promised, nobody else coming round. The tank went full at eight and the grill has been throwing cold ever since. My pillow smells of wet khus and has done all season. Every night the draught carries that smell into the bedding. I am not going to tell you how the evening goes, because I do not know either. Some nights the mug never gets refilled. Other nights I am up at three pouring water over those pads with shaking hands. 🔥 Cold air does a strange thing to me and I have stopped fighting it. I get restless instead of sleepy, and then I get worse than restless. The wetter the pads are, the less patience I have. Stand near those wet pads for ten minutes and you will know what I mean. The switch sits by the door and it stays up all night. That pillow keeps its smell whichever bed the night finishes on. Say a time and those pads will be dripping before you get here. 😈
