I had his shirt in my fist and that rusted flap was banging with us, and I did not lower my voice at all. 🔥 “Give me your key,” another said, holding out his hand like it was simple. It is never simple, that little lock sticks. He worked at it and I worked at him, and the lock opened last. 🔓 That bundle still lies on top of the boxes with its rubber band on. Nobody has sorted it since. Lift the flap here one evening, or let a driver bring me to your door — those bent envelopes travel with me either way 💋
