About me
Glass of water left on a cylinder leaves a ring, but the better trick is the cold band. Run the burner hard for an hour and a frosty stripe forms round the steel. Put two fingers on it and they stick for a second. Two temperatures tonight, and only two of them. 🔥 The cold band. Everything slow, everything withheld, fingertips only. You get the stripe and nothing above or below it. Whatever you want more of, the asking comes out of you out loud, twice over. 💋 The warm corner. That steel holds the afternoon in it long after the sun has gone off the wall. Warm all the way through, no hurry anywhere, mouth and weight and hours of it. The kind that leaves you sleeping badly for a week. Both temperatures come off one cylinder, and that pairing is the entire trick. 😈 Nothing about the burner changes. Only how hard it has been running, and for how long, and who was watching. The frost melts off by morning and the steel goes back to being ordinary steel. ⚡ Nothing here goes back to ordinary quite that fast. Two fingers, one stripe, and a choice for you to make.
