Jhuk ke maine slab pe woh chipchipa daag dekha. Starchy water seeps out from under the cooker every night and dries into a small ring. That ring is sitting on my slab right now. Nobody is going to wipe it off tonight. Some girls will tell you they leave no trace of anything anywhere. Their slab is spotless and their evening is spotless too. My slab carries that sticky ring from last night and the one before it. 🔥 The size of the ring tells me how full the cooker was. Fill it past the line and water pushes out at the rim and runs down the side onto the slab. I always fill it past the line. Kam bharna mujhse hota hi nahi. A tidy girl wipes that ring away before the water has even cooled. I let it dry and I let it show. What happens in this kitchen should still be visible in the morning, not scrubbed off at midnight. 💋 When you get here that ring on the slab will not get a single look from you. My hands will be on your back, then on the wall, then on your belt. The ring stays where it dried and so does everything else I leave behind. 😈 My nails leave their own rings on your back while your shoulder takes my teeth, and you will try to keep quiet. That attempt is not going to hold, I am telling you. By morning the slab ring will have company. Tomorrow that slab will carry two rings — one from the cooker, one from a glass nobody washed. Both of them stay. This cooker leaks starchy water under any slab it stands on — this one tonight, or another one you have in mind. 🥵
