Railing on my staircase is cold and a little loose near the top. Everybody holds it on the way up. Nobody remembers it at all once my door opens. The first thirty seconds are the ones I plan for. I am not fussy about the address at all. The stairs are wide enough for two people standing very close. That has been tested more than once. Nothing gets decided on them, but a lot gets started. I like being held against something solid. The wall, the door, the edge of the table by the window. Soft skin and very little patience, that is the summary. The railing does its job all the way up the stairs. After that there is nothing to hold on to except me. That suits me completely, every time.
