Hands of mine have written on every tin in this house. The ghee tin carries my name in marker across its lid, and it has carried it for years. People borrow it and bring it back because the lid tells them to. I wrote it on the ghee tin first, when I started buying my own. The letters went crooked because the lid is curved. Nobody has scrubbed them off since, and the tin comes home every time 😏💋. I wrote it on the tape under the shelf so no other hand would claim that corner. That corner is mine the way a mark on your neck is mine. Both were put there in capitals and both take days to fade. I wrote it on my wrist once, only to find out whether the marker stung. It did not sting at all. What stings is my teeth in the same spot, and that is the test I would honestly prefer to run on you 🔥😏. I wrote it on the silver side of a chocolate wrapper for a man who could not stay. He kept that wrapper. He still rings on the nights when my ink is the only thing left of me he can read. I wrote it on the lid of the jar I keep my bangles in, and then on the inside of that lid as well. Two labels for one jar. Count that as the number of marks I intend to leave before the tin goes back on its shelf 😈🔥. I wrote it on the last page of an old diary in letters so large they pressed through to the page before. That is the pressure, handsome. The word easy has not slowed my writing hand down yet. The ghee tin sits on the middle shelf with its crooked lid turned out. Whichever address the marker travels to tonight, it rides in the front pocket of my bag 💋. Some part of you goes home labelled 😈.
