The drum will turn true again. The thread will hold. That flake is somewhere under the bench by now and my hands are nowhere near the drum. By tomorrow the drum takes its thread back, four turns, tight. Tonight that thread lies on the mez, four turns loose, and the spindle sits bare. Neither of those things is getting fixed before you leave ✨
