Chhaar gets raked out from under the drum every night, honey. It goes onto the road in one long grey line. Chhaar looks finished and it is not. Put a bare foot near that chhaar after midnight and you will jump. 🔥 Kaay, people make the same mistake with me. Chhaar keeps its bite for hours after the shutters come down. Chhaar hides one live coal at the bottom of that pot, every night. Chhaar sticks to my ankles and colours them grey by closing, bagh. Chhaar also settles on the inside of my forearm. Chhaar leaves a grey rim on both my thumbnails. 👀 Nobody notices it there until they are close enough to breathe on it. Somebody who leans that close gets my mouth, not my talking. 😈 Chhaar on my skin has been licked off before now, and nobody complained about the taste. Chhaar from this drum goes into a pot, and the pot travels. Chhaar burns the same in my corner and in a room you arrange. 💋 Look for the grey chhaar line on the road tomorrow morning. Chhaar under the surface will still be live, hours after I have gone.
