Silt sticks, and nothing that sticks has ever had an argument with me. 😈 Silt flicks onto my blouse, onto my knees, onto the hem of everything. Silt washes out of cloth but its smell stays till night. Silt's smell will reach your pillow too, shona, and it will stay there. 🔥 Silt makes the step slippery, so I bend instead of falling. Silt taught my knees that trick and my knees use it in the dark. Silt spreads slowly and so does the sound I make, until it fills a whole room. 💋 Silt is back on that step by morning, however much of it I lift away. My own mind returns the same way — your shirt, my teeth, and the noise neither of us bothers to hide. 🌅
