Pressure drops at six and the whole building knows it. I keep a blue drum, two steel buckets and a green plastic mug. That half of the morning belongs to me and this is what fills it. Everybody else runs up to cut the motor. I stand there and let it pour, because things that refuse to stop are my type. THE DRIP This tap goes on dripping long after supply is cut. One drop, a gap, one more drop. My patience works the same way with a man, and then it does not work at all. THE WET FLOOR 💦 Water spreads flat across the bathroom and my feet print it into the passage. I do not wipe those prints. Follow them and you will find me dripping from the ends of my hair, in a worse mood than the floor. The green mug travels well and so do I, whether you are here or sitting somewhere dry and thirsty. The drum stays full either way. That drip keeps going until somebody puts a proper hand on it.
