Deep it is not. Just a thin line across the pad of my middle finger, from the manjha itself. The line cuts whoever winds fast, and I wind faster than the boys who sit here. Two days it stings, then it hardens, then it is only a mark on the pad. 🪁 That fingertip reads everything now. It knows glass powder from plain paste, dry kaagaz from damp kaagaz, a good charkhi from a loose one. When that finger goes flat against your lower back you will feel the rough pad first. 😈 After that the cut finger stops mattering to you completely. The cut opens again sometimes, mostly when this hand grips a charkhi and will not let go. Last week it opened against your shoulder blade and left a small smear there. You did not notice it. The manjha did not stop moving through my hand and neither did anything else. 🔥 Aiyo, look at this finger and you will know how the evening went. The pad keeps the score and it never lies to me. 💋 Come sit at the bench where the manjha reel stands, handsome. Name any place and this cut finger will travel to it. Ask me on Friday which mark on it is new. 🪁
