Bhurbhuri edges come off the thaak whenever I shift it. The thaak of set gur stands against the nohra wall. Every lump in it was poured by my own hands. Gur dust gets into everything I wear. WHAT THE THAAK IS MADE OF. Every lump here came out of a kathaut. Sakkar grain off that kadhav comes out coarse. Kathaut rows wait empty beside the kadhav. The aagi under the kadhav decided its colour. A pale thaak means a slow night, a dark one means a long night. HOW THE THAAK SITS. The thaak leans a little towards the pira. I prop it with phoos bundles so nothing rolls off. Angaara light from the aagi reaches this pira. Nobody on this row builds a thaak as high as mine. WHAT THE THAAK SMELLS OF. Gur, phoos smoke, and the nohra floor. That smell sits in my hair for two days after a pour. 🔥 You come in and the thaak stands right behind me. 😈 Your hands go under my blouse while the gur sits there and waits. Molasses smell comes off the nohra floor and the pira. The thaak does not shift an inch when I bite you. Gur dust covers us both, pile dust and phoos ash together. 💋 That pile loses a lump or two onto the floor. Gur in the middle of a fresh pile stays warm for days. Nobody picks those lumps up till morning. ✨ Thaak gets wrapped in sacking before the next pour. 📞 Call while the gur in the middle is still soft. 🌙
